WILL of the People?

Postby drew » Mon May 14, 2012 7:13 pm

Kevin McCarney wrote a letter to the editor whining that 'the will of the people' was being ignored.

My response....

WILL of the PEOPLE" as used by Kevin McCarney in a recent letter to the editor.

Is it the “WILL of the People” that our taxes are off the charts?
Or the 'will of the politicians’ that you support?

Is it the “WILL of the People” to be 16 trillion dollars in debt?
Or is it the ‘will of the corrupt Washingtonpoliticians’ whom you support?

Is it the “WILL of the People” that the regulatory agencies of all levels of government are out of control and oppressing the nations economy?
Or the 'will of the politicians', you support, who created them?

Is it the "WILL of the People" that government bureaucracies are completely out of the control of the People?
Or is it the 'will of the politicians that DO CONTROL those bureaucracies?

Is it the “WILL of the People” that their RIGHTS, Guaranteed by the Constitution, are under constant attack from BOTH sides of the political aisle?
Or is it the ‘will of the political system’ that you support?

Is it the WILL of the People that our military is spread across the world in places, and wars, where we have no "National Security" interests?
Or is it the 'will of the politicians' that you support?

Is it the "WILL of the People" that allows convicted murderers, rapists and other violent criminals on the streets?
Or is it the 'will of the politicians' that demanded their release onto the People for their own political purposes...that you support?

Is it the "WILL of the People" that our votes ARE TO BE IGNORED for expedience when those votes run afoul of the 'will of the politicians' that you support?
Or is it the 'will of the party elitists' that control the politicians?

In the last gubernatorial election, the "WILL of the republican primary VOTERS" was ELECT Dan Maes. On the other hand, it was the 'will of the republican elitists' to split the vote by backing a ‘third party candidate’ and throw the election to the democrat candidate to teach those stupid voters who really controls the "WILL OF THE PEOPLE".

It makes no difference which political party is in control, the "WILL OF THE PEOPLE" is on no politician’s radar.
It's just a phrase to use to impress the poorly (politically un)educated.

The TEA Party movement was formed to return the "WILL OF THE PEOPLE" to the forefront of the political scene, and consists of People from all political persuasions and beliefs.

Your paltry attempt to assume “TEA Party” credentials for the Mesa County republican party through the formation of a shill group (wsca) and stocked by self-appointed board members is hardly “WILL of the People” for the simple reason that one of the first acts was to change the bylaws to DENY any form 0f “WILL of the People” by removing the RIGHT TO VOTE by the rank and file membership.

Is it the "WILL of the People" that the educational system in America is in such a sorry condition?
Or is it the 'will of the politicians' that depend heavily on a poorly educated voting block to keep them in office and heavily dependent on the government for everything?

A "WELL-EDUCATED" population has little need, or use for, a overbearing government at any level.

Please feel free to add any of your own "WILL of the People".

Just keep it neat, clean and to the point.

Add one at a time, or several and maybe we can put together a booklet/PDF for use in your local townhalls or meetings with politicians or their lackeys.

Is it the "WILL of the People" to be molested by TSA agents because even perverts need jobs?

or is the 'will of the politicians' that need to force People into submission fairly often so they get used to it?

So long as "The Will Of The People" is determined by Corporate News' lies, omissions, and mis-direction the Government will merely be a reflection of "The Will Of Wall Street". No matter how you spin it, we're all subject to the Golden Rule (He Who Has The Gold Makes The Rules) and with the FED's Constitutional authority to create, by fiat, our nation's only currency our government, in 1913, abdicated its sovereignty to a cartel of global bankers. You'll find no substantial difference in the policies of either major political Party because they're all owned by the same corporate lobbies in DC. The bankers are politicians and the politicians are bankers. You see the same names in both public and private sectors as "leaders". Keeping "The Will Of Wall Street" out of government is going to require the same sort of Constitutional firewall as it took our Founders to keep "The Will Of The Church" out of government. I re-submit my proposal for such a possible Amendment:

28th Amendment
"Corporations are not persons in any sense of the word and shall be granted only those rights and privileges that Congress deems necessary for the well-being of the People. Congress shall provide legislation defining the terms and conditions of corporate charters according to their purpose; which shall include, but are not limited to; 1 prohibitions against any corporation becoming so large its failure would pose a threat to national security or harm the general economy, 2 prohibitions against any form of interference in the affairs of government, education, and news media, and 3 provisions for civil and criminal penalties to be paid by corporate executives for violation of the terms of a corporate charter."

In the current context I call particular attention to the broadly written language of the second "prohibition" for its impact on the true "Will Of The People". As it currently stands; in terms of the First Amendment: " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Using that same language in a 28th Amendment would read: " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of incorporated business entities, or prohibiting the free excercise thereof......." : which makes no sense, but would probably work nonetheless because lawyers speak an alien tongue. I like mine better.

Big government is its own religion. Also recognized as 'religions' in the way they are treated are union, political parties, and any self-described minority group.
